Five Important Points for a Ramadan Routine
1. Stay Productive
Productivity starts with planning. When we plan our day, we feel calm and successful.
Let’s organize our time so we can balance work, study, family, and worship.
2. Ramadan and the Qur’an
Ramadan and the Qur’an belong together.
Our main goal this month is to spend more time with the Qur’an:
-
Read it - Memorize it - Think about it - Understand its meaning
Set daily time for Qur’an reading, study, and Hifz.
3. Plan Your Daily Salah & Nafl
Plan your 24 hours around the five daily prayers.- In Ramadan, also include Tahajjud and Taraweeh.
Write your plan on paper.
Choose what is easy for you and stay consistent for 30 days.
Example:
If praying 2 nafl after Zuhr is easy, do that daily.
Do not overload yourself.
Doing less with focus and sincerity is better than doing many things without consistency.
Never miss a day.
4. Understanding Farz, Sunnah, and Nafl
-
Farz – Obligatory acts
-
Sunnah – Recommended acts
-
Nafl – Optional acts
In a Hadith Qudsi, Allah says that when a servant continues doing extra worship, Allah loves them and protects them, answers their duas, and guides them.
(Sahih al-Bukhari)
5. Extra Azkar
Remember Allah as much as possible.
Simple actions like Istighfar, Tasbeeh, and Darood take little time but bring huge reward. Click Here for more details.

Allah says in a Hadith Qudsi that the best way to come close to Him is through obligatory acts, and then through extra worship, until He loves His servant.
One very important reminder:
With all acts of worship, farḍ ṣalāh is a must. There is no substitute and no excuse to abandon it. Everything else is optional — do as much as you comfortably can. Islam is ease, not hardship.
If you are faced with two good deeds, choose the one that is easier for you, in accordance with the Sunnah. And if, due to studies, work, health, or other responsibilities, you are unable to do extra acts of worship, do not be harsh on yourself.
Correct your niyyah, and even your daily responsibilities become ‘ibādah.
If you are caring for someone, say:
“Yā Allah, I am doing this for You. Please accept it from me.”
If you are studying, say:
“Yā Allah, I seek success so I can become a better Muslim and benefit the Ummah in both dīn and dunya.”
If you are sick or weak and unable to do much, at least have the intention to do good — you will still be rewarded for your sincere desire.
And if nothing else feels possible after farḍ ṣalāh, keep your lips moist with dhikr:
SubḥānAllāh • Alḥamdulillāh • Allāhu Akbar
The reward for these is immense — check how Allah multiplies them. Click Here May Allah accept from us, make it easy for us, and keep us blessed. Ameen.
